It's the final day of our 12 Tools of Christmas! Don't forget to like our page on Facebook, then like each tool's post for a chance to win that tool. You only have until midnight, TONIGHT!!!
Now that you have a great starter set of absolutely essential tools, it's time to have something to put those tools in! Great organization is paramount for getting jobs done efficiently and with as little foul language as possible. Trust us, nothing starts the frustration rising faster than not being able to find the tool you want to use when you need it quickly. Here are three options we love and use on a daily basis!
Husky Open Tool Tote - First let's talk about Gabe's favorite. This open top bag allows for ample storage of everything he uses routinely on inspections. It's big enough to hold even his clipboard, but still compact enough to be easy to transport. The open design allows you to simply drop tools in, whereas a lid with latches must be latched before you can pick it up and go. The pockets are very helpful for keeping track of small tools. The only downside is if it gets dumped over in the car, then it can be a mess.

AWP General Construction Tool Apron - Now let's talk about Erin's favorite. When assisting, she loves to use this simple tool apron to hold all the odds and ends she needs. After working in a restaurant for many years, she finds the towel bar (probably supposed to hold a hammer!) to be great. The front pocket can hold her phone, a flashlight fits nicely along the side, there are pen holders along the other side, and the main pocket is big enough to hold her temp gun with a few other items. While it may seem like an overkill to suit up for a small home project, you'd be surprised at how many tools and objects even the most basic projects can use. Keeping all of that organized around your waist greatly improves your effeciency and reduces forgetfulness. Plus having screws and nails at your fingertips but out of your hands while on a ladder is a lot safer!!
|
F2C Potable Tool Chest - Finally, here is an option that's great for home use. The multiple drawers allow you to easily organize your wrenches, screwdrivers, socket sets, etc. The bottom is a great storage shelf which we keep an additional tool box in. The wheels are amazing, because even if you think you have your garage set up exactly perfect, odds are high you will need to move your tool box around at some point. And let's be honest, wheels make that task a lot easier! So if the number of tools you own is too many to fit in our Husky tote above, consider upgrading to this tool chest.
