Climbing the Ladder

The right tool at the right time can make all the difference! So, over the next few weeks we will be highlighting tools that we think every home owner should have. From basic to expert, here are the tools you will find in our toolbox!

First up is ladders. I *sometimes* give Gabe a hard time about the number of ladders we have at our house. I mean, come on, how many different ladders could one person possibly need?!?

It turns out, each ladder does in fact handle different situations better. And since he is normally climbing on top of a home to check out the roof, I realized that safely using the right ladder might be worth the investment in a multitude of ladders.

For most around-the-home needs, the most versatile ladder that we use on a daily basis is a 13' articulating ladder, like this one from Werner.
We love how sturdy and easy to convert into the needed shape this ladder is. You can make it an A-frame of varying heights, including making one side of the A shorter to accommodate steps. It will also serve as an extension ladder from 4 ft all the way to 13ft. Finally, it can be used as a really small step stool. Best of all, since it folds down so nicely, it is one of the easiest ladders for us to store. Multiple ladders in one, easy to hang on a wall or hide in a corner, this ladder is great for just about everyone!

We will be highlighting more ladders over the next few days for people who are ready to take the next "step" for their tool collection!
