Extending the Climb

Last week we showed you an articulating ladder which we think is perfect for a variety of home projects. However, if you are ready to kick up your tool inventory a notch, the next most important ladder to have is an extension ladder.
We love this 16 ft 3-section ladder from Werner! It is only 6 ft tall when fully collapsed, making it easy to store in the garage and allowing you to close your tailgate when transporting in most truck beds. The aluminum makes it lightweight, and it even comes with a carrying handle. And best of all, because it telescopes in sections, the joints are reinforced making it incredibly stable compared to extension ladders that are in only 2 sections.

So, while our articulating ladder sees the most use and ranks as our #1 most needed ladder, this handy extension ladder is definitely a close second!

For even larger projects, we also use this 20 ft extension ladder from Keller. It is a bit bulkier, and very heavy, but it comes with a stabilizing bar that is very helpful when the ladder is fully extended.

Next up will be a ladder for indoor use. Stay tuned!
