Our final must-have ladder for all home owners is a standard a-frame step ladder. While really tall extension ladders are great for outdoors, sometimes you just need to replace a light bulb!

The actual step ladder we have is this Davidson 6ft aluminum ladder. It is absolutely perfect for most indoor projects. It is lightweight and has a great tray that's useful for tools or paint cans. It isn't too long, so it is not difficult to maneuver in tighter spaces. All around, a great ladder!
We have owned this ladder for many years, and truthfully we were a little surprised at the price. We have found this other ladder by Lousiville, which seems to be comparable. The reviews are positive, and the price is significantly more affordable, but we have not personally tested this ladder. So, if you decide to save a little money, please remember to do so with caution.
Keep in mind that most ladders will last you a long time, so saving a few dollars now might not be advisable if the quality of the product is noticeably different. As with all purchases, make your final decision based on what is right for your particular situation!
